Alberto Moreiras is Professor and Head of Hispanic Studies at Texas
A&M University. He has been the Sixth Century Professor of Modern
Thought and Hispanic Studies at the University of Aberdeen, Scotland
and has taught and lectured in Brazil, Chile, Germany, Italy, and
Spain as well as at Duke and other major research universities in the
United States. Professor Moreiras is a specialist in Latin-American
Literature and Culture, with ancillary interests in areas ranging from
Aesthetics to Political Philosophy.
